Hi, my name is Mike Shelton. This past year, like many of you, I’ve noticed that the world around us has become more divisive, angry, and negative. People have lost focus on what truly matters in life.

So I decided to make this blog and share uplifting and encouraging thoughts. I have no real credentials to do this, but feel that I do have things to share that I hope can help someone’s day become brighter.

I have been happily married for 30 years to an extraordinary wife and have three wonderful children. They are all married to great spouses. On top of that I have three beautiful and fun-loving grandchildren.

I have worked 30 years in corporate finance, as well in the past few years have published 19 YA Fantasy novels (if you are interested in clean, magical, and adventurous fantasy check out my author website here.

I am a life-time member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and have served in many callings that have given me insight to the gospel of Jesus Christ, taught me patience, love, and endurance.
